ADA COMPLIANCE FOR BUSINESSES AND RECENT TRENDS
IN LITIGATION: ARE YOU IN COMPLIANCE?
Is your business vulnerable?
A Seminar for Fairfax Businesses
Ask yourself:
1. Do you know whether or not you are vulnerable to an ADA lawsuit?
2. Do you know the best steps to take now if you are?
If you don't have the answers, come to the seminar.
Thursday, July 24th, 6-8PM
Fairfax Women's Club - 46 Park Road
A Free Event Sponsored by the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce
As you may already know, several small businesses in Fairfax, one on Broadway and the other on Sir Francis Drake Blvd.,
have been threatened with or the subject of ADA lawsuits. Settlements have, so far, averaged $25,000 to the plaintiff to
settle the suit, plus government fines, plus the cost of renovations to correct the issues.
Generally, ADA lawsuits are not covered by business insurance.
The Fairfax Chamber of Commerce has organized a free two hour meeting with two prominent
Bay Area experts in this field. There will be two presentations, each followed by a
Question & Answer session with the audience
Sara is the President of Allman & Nielsen, P.S. She counsels and defends commercial landlords and tenants against ADA claims.
She frequently lectures on the topic. Sara has appeared as defendant's counsel in over 50 ADA cases in federal court.
